Hotel is nice and it was an enjoyable stay - if the pool was in use (not empty)
Breakfast was okay Choices are good The staff are nice The manager ( i dont know his name but he is a big happy guy)is excellent and should be recognised by the hotel for the additional work he does to keep the place going, in particular sorting out the confused staff
The adult pool was not filled with water and we could not use - was out of use - if we knew this upfront we may have stayed at another hotel as we have a kid with a back / spinal issue that needs a pool to exercise At breakfast the food would run out and not be replenished until you told the staff Ordering food from the resto is not easy and the staff get it wrong a lot of the time - e.g a tuna sandwich (which is on the menu)became a smoked beef sandwich (this is not on the menu) Food for some unexplainable reason seems to take forever to order and receive (a few guests were the same as us and waiting forever ) Room service was slow (but the staff delivering were nice ) We booked a suite and the TV in the livingroom was not very good and kept going in and out of signal

Cleanliness and hotel training needs to be improved
The hotel itself looks nice from the outside and facilities were good. It is overall a well designed building and space. The view overlooking the sea is incredible from the pool, restaurant and balcony if you choose the sea view room. The food from the restaurant was also good.
I don't consider myself a 'difficult guest' but there were so many things that added up which the hotel could have greatly improved on. 1. The booking.com reference for the junior suite is misleading. It is NOT for 3 guests; you will have to order an additional fold out bed. 2. Hotel staff not very well trained. When I had complained about no.1 the front staff was adamant that in their internal system it shows that the room sleeps 2 and wanted to send me Screenshots of what it had said in the system rather than resolving the issue. I did not want to argue who was correct and had suggested that I would prefer to take 2 deluxe rooms to sleep 3 people instead as it was more comfortable and a cheaper option; she could not accommodate. She had to contact the site manager who we had to wait for and who was not able to make a decision,hence we had to waste almost an hour at the front desk to get this resolved. In the end we got the fold out bed for free and they said they need to update the booking.com profile. (Sorry not my problem) 3. Room cleanliness. I had booked 2 rooms. In the junior suite, the door to the balcony could not open and the a/c wasn't fully functioning- good that they had a repairman on site as he had to go back to the room twice to fix the issues. In the double room, the sheets were horribly dirty with lots of hair and stains as if someone slept on it before. I had to request a new one and helped them change the sheets as it was already late at night. The bathroom floor towel was also dirty but I couldn't be bothered to say anything then. Was there no one to quality check that rooms are fully functioning and cleaned correctly? The next days were better but the whole thing was an unnecessary waste of time during vacation
